to hear the horn
SPARTON CHIME BUGLE HORN
This is the "mother-of-all-horns"! I got it on eBay, where one is put up for sale around once a month.
They go for $75 for a repairable one, to $150 for a good working model to $250 for a pristine restored
horn. They were sold from the late twenties to the mid thirties. It's 16 inches long, 11 inches high and
weighs about 10 pounds. The one I got works on 6 volt negative ground, but there must have been
positive ground models too since that type of electrical system was quite prevalent at that time.
"Chime" means that you can make the three horns sound off at the same time, while "Bugle" means it
can play that typical 4-note tune.
